Parish Priest: Fr. Duncan M Adamson
Parish Administrator: Nicola Burke
Fr. Duncan writes:Dear Parishioners, This Sunday is the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. When God entered human history as the man Jesus Christ, he did not just appear out of nowhere, but chose to be born into a real family, to be raised by them like any other child coming into the world. As we celebrate this Feast today, we celebrate the fact that because God’s son was born into a family, God has blessed the life of every family.
Next Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord. The word Epiphany means ‘manifestation’, showing. This great feast commemorates the manifestation of God through Christ to the whole world symbolised by the Three Kings from the East who came to Bethlehem to see the infant king in the manger. On this day we celebrate the fact that Jesus, Son of God, reveals himself to all peoples as their Saviour. On that day we gather to do him homage. ____________________________________________________________________________
