Parish Priest: Fr. Duncan M Adamson
Parish Administrator: Nicola Burke
Fr. Duncan writes: This Sunday is the 1st Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the Church’s year. The season of Advent is a short season of preparation for Christmas, the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Let us use this time to prepare for Christmas, not only in a practical way, but also in a spiritual way. We had a very good meeting last Monday with the Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Among the many points we discussed was the manner of approaching the minister to receive Holy Communion. It has been requested, to ease movement around the Church, would those in the side benches please walk towards the back of the Church and either come through the transept aisle in the middle of the Church or come round from the back rather than cutting through the benches were people are. Rather than stand in the queue for a long time, you may prefer to stay in your place sitting or kneeling preparing yourself to receive the Lord in the Eucharist. ____________________________________________________________________________
Wedding Congratulations
