Twenty-Eighth Sunday of the Year

Fr. Duncan writes:  Dear parishioners, This week the relics of St.Thérèseof Lisieux will be at Westminster Cathedral. Full details of the programme are on the leaflets in the porch. In preparation for the visit Archbishop Vincent has asked us to say the following prayer. We will say it today before the Blessing at each Mass. ‘O Lord, you inspired in Thérèse a burning desire for evangelisation throughout the world. You have fulfilled her desires beyond death and allow her to do good through the visits of her relics to the various peoples of the earth and even to remote islands. We entrust to you the spiritual fruitfulness of her visit to this country. May the presence of her relics draw more people to know your name and to welcome the message of the Gospel. Amen’.

Letters which include important information about changes in serving and also the new rosters following the recent update of serving availability sheets are available for collection from the Sacristy this weekend; please ensure you collect only your own letter.  If you are able to serve at Fr Duncan’s Installation Mass on Friday 30th October at 7:00pm please put your name on the sheet in the sacristy today, you can do this while you collect your letter. A number of servers indicated that they no longer wished to continue serving and we thank them for their service over the past years, could they now please return their cassocks and cottas to the sacristy so that they can be re-issued?  Finally, classes for those who would like to train as altar servers will start again after Christmas and further details will be given nearer that time.
