Parish Priest: Fr. Michael Johnston
Parish Administrator: Nicola Burke
Fr. Michael writes: Being a follower of Christ is not a part-time occupation. If we doubt that, we have only to look at Jesus in today’s Gospel. He cures those closest to Him. The news gets out and a crowd gathers around Him looking for healing themselves. Having attended to their needs, Jesus then goes off to a lonely place to spend in prayer. But He is not to be left in peace. Simon Peter calls him:- “Everybody is looking for you”. Immediately, Jesus is up and about to preach the Good News, not only in the locality but also throughout Galilee “because that is why I came”. Jesus is always there for others, unstinting in his time and effort. We are meant to imitate His example.
