Thirty Third sunday of the Year

Fr. Michael writes: The parable in the Gospel today speaks to us about God’s generosity. Through the story we are invited to imagine a God who bestows gifts on all of us – and so we are all gifted. He is a God who gives talents to all of us – and so we are talented. What matters is not what people’s talents are, but how they are used in the service of the Kingdom. The parable imagines God as a gambler, one who is forever taking risks in entrusting us with his gifts. He has no guarantee on his returns but that is the risk. He dares us to share a common enterprise and trusts us to do it in our way, knowing that if it succeeds both his will and ours will be done

Welcome
This weekend because Fr. Cristiano is away we welcome Fr. Stephen Mere, SVD who will celebrate the 10.00am and 11.30am Masses.

Our sympathy and prayers to the family of Julia (Sheila) Smith whose Funeral Mass takes place this Tuesday 18th November at 10.00am, also to the family of Brigid Wood whose Funeral Mass takes place this Thursday 20th November at 10.00am.

Many Thanks
